The American Kerry Hill Sheep Society elects members who serve on a Board of Directors and work as the governing body of the AKHSS. For members who would like to volunteer or wish to serve on the Board, please contact us for more information.
Tracy Bloom | President
Tracy owns and operates Kerry Hills of Upperville. In addition to breeding Kerry Hills and her work with the AKHSS, she is a local business owner and proud mother of four.
Sam Furman | Vice-President
Sam is a professional stock dog trainer and experienced shepherd since 1997. She operates Front Runner Farm which includes a large flock of Kerry Hills.
Kim Baker | Secretary
Kim is retired from a career in tech but stays busy managing her family business along with her gorgeous flock of Kerry Hills.
Orianna Brown | Treasurer
Orianna is the Founder and President of Amerisearch Background Alliance. She breeds pedigree Kerry Hill Sheep and is dedicated to their preservation in the United States.

Rick Farnsworth PHD | Director
Rick is the first breeder to import Kerry Hill genetics into the United States in 2006. When he is not raising Kerry Hills, he works as a Senior Science Advisor, providing scientific oversight and business development for large programs here and abroad.

Erin Carpio | Director
Erin owns Carpio Stables, a horse training facility in Harrisburg, Pa. Along with the horses, she is very passionate about her flock of Kerry Hill Sheep.

Patrick Shannahan | Director
In addition to raising Kerry Hills, Patrick has been herding with sheepdogs for over 26 years, both competitively and on his farm. He is recognized as one of North American’s leading handlers, judges and trainers.
